The LHM 1000 and the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge at Larry H. Miller Dodge Boise!

As you can tell, August was a crazy month for Larry H. Miller Chrsysler Jeep Dodge Ram Boise. First off, we had been planning all month for a used car tent sale called the LHM 1000. What we also had come up was the ALS Ice Bucket challenge that came to our store. The senior Vice President for the Larry H. Miller Automotive Group, John O’Brian, challenged our General Manager to do the challenge. Below, you can see how this challenge turned out and how our GM, Tom Greene, took the challenge, along with a few other member of our staff. Play the video below:


On to the topic of the LHM 1000! This is a giant used vehicle sale that we love to do a couple times of year. The pre-owned vehicle sale can range from being done over the Memorial Day weekend at Expo Idaho in Boise, or in June. And this month we decided to do it over the Labor Day weekend. Why not, right?

You won’t find a better deal on a used vehicle than at this sale. We always put a lot of inventory on the ground at Expo Idaho in Boise for the LHM 1000, because we want people to come down and to see a wide selection of vehicles that they can choose from. We also have onsite lending, where customers can get approved for the vehicle that they’re looking for on the spot. The last great part about the LHM 1000, is that we stock the place full of food and goodies while customers are here.

The all new 2015 Chrysler 200


There’s something new that Chrysler has introduced and it’s the all-new 200. This vehicle has it all and then some! Larry H. Miller Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Boise is the place to come check out this new vehicle. If you don’t believe us that this totally redesigned 200 is amazing, take a look at recent review given to the 200 in the New York Times by Lawrence Ulrich:

“After so much time in the sedan wilderness, the Chrysler could hardly expect to rule a class whose leaders include the Honda Accord, Mazda 6 and Ford Fusion.



Yet the midsize Chrysler makes a case for inclusion, with a distinctively American design, an especially user-friendly cabin and the most powerful optional V6 in the class. Unlike the coming Jeep Renegade, a small Italian-built S.U.V. destined for international markets, the 200 will be homegrown. It is being produced in a plant in Sterling Heights, Mich., that recently received a $1 billion expansion.

True to its Midwest roots, Chrysler’s latest “Imported from Detroit” model is a big old softy. If the Mazda 6 and Honda Accord occupy the athletic end of the family-car spectrum, the 200 is safely parked near the center. Comfort is king at the expense of anything resembling sporty handling, at least in the 200C AWD version that I tested.”

The 2014 Larry H. Miller Day of Service

On Friday, April 25th we attended the annual Larry H. Miller Day of Service. This was the 5th annual event and we at Larry H. Miller Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Boise lent our services and volunteered to help the Boys and Girls Club set up as much as we could for their annual charity event. It was Larry's wish that we do all that we can to enrich our communities around us. And on this day, we hope to have moved one more step closer to doing so. Spring Car care tips from Larry H. Miller Jeep Dodge Ram Boise

Did you know that April is car care month?

Well, there is good reason that it is! In April, especially here in Idaho as we start to move away from that cold weather and start to move into warmer temperatures. By all accounts, this is a good thing. As such, it's important for you to take notice at your car. Here at Larry H. Miller Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Boise, we thought we'd put together some Spring Car Care tips for you to notice. The best time to get your car checked, is to have us conduct a multi-point inspection for your vehicle in our service department. Here are some other items to notice and check:
  • All fluids: Your engine oil, power steering fluids, brake, transmission as well as windshield washer fluid, and the antifreeze coolant.
  • Hoses and belts to make sure they are not cracked, brittle, frayed, loose or showing signs of excessive wear.
  • Battery Life: along with making sure there is no acid build-up on the car battery. Also, look at the cables connected to them to make sure they're in good help.
  • Brakes: Normally, you should have these checked at your oil changes, but when breaking while driving, check to see if everything feels right as well.
  • Schedule a Spring tune-up: This will always help with your car's performance.
  • Air Conditioner: The summer is coming fast, make sure you're prepared with a well working AC.
  • Tires: This includes tire pressure and the tread tread. Keep in mind that uneven wear on the tires in an indication that you need an alignment. Tires should also be checked for bulges and bald spots.
  • Wipers: You'll want to make sure your wipers cleanly wipe away water for the most optimal viewing out of your car's window.
  • External Lighting: Break lights and head lights.
